Choose your cabin

Nestled among the trees are five cosy cabins, along with a separate kitchen and shower block. Kitchen 3 sits slightly apart, down a few steps. All kitchens and shower rooms are private unless you’ve booked the whole site.

We designed our cabins with comfort, practicality and adventure in mind. Secure in-cabin bike storage was a must-have from day one. When we couldn’t find cabins that met our needs, we designed our own - partnering with a local company to bring our vision to life.

Each cabin has a simple, functional layout, making it an ideal base for up to two adults and two children. Dogs are welcome too, so no one gets left behind.

We offer three types of cabin:

A cosy small room featuring a bunk bed, a sink, and a window, perfect for maximizing space and comfort.

Ensuite Arosfa

Arosfa has the same footprint as the original cabins but includes an ensuite shower room and kitchenette. While there wasn’t space for in-cabin bike storage, it comes with its own secure, lockable bike store just outside.

  • table with four stools/seats
  • heating, lighting, and power points with USB sockets

Campervan spaces

We have space for 1, sometimes 2, small campervans (max 5m due to restricted space/turning), subject to availability.

Van guests have use of electric hook-ups and a private shower room (this may on rare occasions be shared between guests from two vans). There's also outdoor seating and a covered outdoor sink area with drinking water, washing up liquid etc for cleaning up.

Dog-friendly glamping at The Roost Merthyr Tydfil

Dogs are welcome at The Roost. The site is gated and there's plenty of space for dogs to enjoy sniffing about. And, with the Taff Trail outside our gate, it's easy to take them for a walk.

All cabins are dog friendly though there's more space for them and you in the 'original' cabins.

"We had a lovely stay! The accommodation and site is beautiful - very well thought out and had everything we needed. The bike storage inside the cabin is a great idea and was very convenient. The host was brilliant and sent clear instructions in plenty of time and was very responsive. Lovely cabins on a great site - we'll be visiting again!"
