Roost reviews

"We had a wonderful stay at the Roost. I was really pleased with the safety measures in place due to Covid and we loved having our own kitchen and bathroom. The hose for cleaning our bikes was such a perk after riding at BikePark Wales in the rain! Overall a lovely experience and a perfect first holiday post-lockdown."

July 2020 (Airbnb)

"Great location for the Bike park, bike friendly, bike wash and can store your bike in an area in the cabin . Very clean and great facilities, lovely people too. We thought the well fitted out kitchen and dining terrace with barbecue and fire pit was a nice touch . Showers are also nice and hot if you've been out all day walking or biking. Will definitely stay there again."

"Everything at the roost is well thought out. Cabins are cosy and beds very comfy. Everything, from kitchen area to showers, is sparkling clean. If you’re riding bike park wales, the place has a hose to jet wash your bike, a stand to maintain it and a drying room. Really cool vibe and stunning views."

March 2020 (AirBnB)

"We used the stay as a stop over to climb Pen y Fan. However, will definitely be bringing the bikes next time. The site has an eco friendly vibe with recycled rainwater used for flushing the loo. We found the self check in very straightforward and convenient. Overall the stay was exactly what we wanted and can't wait for the second visit!"

Roost rules

The main thing is please be considerate to other guests and our neighbours and also:

  • No smoking - no smoking or vaping in or around the cabins or shared areas. Please only smoke/vape in the car park where there is an ashtray/bucket.
  • Quiet please - keep the noise right down between 21:30 and 07:30. We’re a small site and noise carries. If you’re leaving early, please do so quietly.
  • Dog owners - please pick up after your pooch. There are poo bags in the kitchen and a poop bin just outside the Roost gates on the Taff Trail (please don't put it in our rubbish bins).
  • On your bike? - please dismount your bike in the car park and walk it through to your cabin. Please give it a wash before hanging it up too.
