The Roost is easy to get to by car and parking is provided.
The entrance to the Roost is behind the pub, the Dynevor Arms. At the junction at the end of Nant Y-Coed, with the pub in front of you, turn left and the gated entrance to the Roost is on your right.
Troedyrhiw train station, a 5 min walk away, connects directly to Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, Bridgend and Barry Island.
If you're off to BikePark Wales, you may want to leave your car and cycle there in about 15 mins (less on the way back as its downhill!).
Cardiff is a 40 min drive or 50 min train journey from the Roost. The Mumbles, the gateway to the Gower, is a 60 min drive away.

The Roost is located in Troedyrhiw, a village in Merthyr Tydfil. The village centre is a 5 minute walk away. Here you’ll find pubs, convenience stores, chemist, cashpoints (within the convenience stores), an Indian restaurant/takeaway and other takeaways.
Troedyrhiw train station, a 5 minute walk away, connects directly to Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend, Barry Island and Cardiff.
There’s a larger Co-op supermarket in Pentrebach (7 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike) along with a Halfords. In Merthyr Tydfil you'll also find a Tesco Extra, Aldi and M&S.
Merthyr Tydfil town centre can be reached by car (12 minutes); train from Troedyrhiw station (18 minutes) or bike (20 minutes on the Taff Trail). Here you’ll find a wider choice of food and drink and shopping, a cinema and leisure centre. Merthyr also a retail park.
